8 Things You Should Never Say
Hillary Richard is speaking to employees about things they say that undermine their ideas and make them look weak. As I read her article, it occurred to me that I often hear salespeople use these phrases, too.
Here are 8 statements that I hear employees and salespeople use that should never be used. They make you sound weak and unsure.
"I could be wrong."
"Just my opinion."
"It’s out of my hands."
"I’m sorry." (when you are not sorry)
"Would it be possible…?"
"I hope that’s okay."
"I feel like…"
"Does that make sense?"
If you are saying these things, take a look at her article for a better understanding of what you are telling people between the lines.
